Today, actress Lori Loughlin was implicated in the largest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice. The Full House actress (along with actress Felicity Huffman) was charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud.

According to the public complaint, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying $500,000 to have their two daughters designated as recruits to USC’s crew team, guaranteeing their admission to the school, according to the documents. But, as The Hollywood Reporter pointed out, their daughters had never done crew.

Loughlin’s 19-year-old daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, is an influencer with 1.3 million followers on Instagram and 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube. She had an established following long before she went to college. Here’s what you need to know about her.

Giannulli shares sponsored posts with her huge following. For example, she did one with Smile Direct Club and another with Amazon back in September, both with the #ad hashtag. “Officially a college student!” she wrote. “It’s been a few weeks since I moved into my dorm and I absolutely love it. I got everything I needed from Amazon with @primestudent and had it all shipped to me in just two-days.”

Giannulli’s YouTube videos feature details from her everyday life.

Giannulli has created videos around her college diet, her college life, and makeup tutorials with themes like college party beauty. These videos have collectively racked up millions of views—and likely plenty of ad revenue—for the YouTuber.

Giannulli’s college dorm room tour video has over 1 million views. In it, she talks about Amazon coming to shoot the room, because the company gave her a lot of the products in it. She also linked out to products she bought using affiliate links.

Giannulli has apologized for a controversial statement about school.

Over the summer, Giannulli apologized for saying that she didn’t really care about school, something that caused a little controversy in the YouTube community. As People pointed out, Giannulli said in a video that her priority for college was parties rather than classes.“I don’t know how much of school I’m gonna attend, but I’m gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone, and hope that I can try and balance it all,” she said. “But I do want the experience of, like, game days, partying….I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know.”

She posted a second video after receiving backlash in her comments, apologizing for the remarks. “I said something super ignorant and stupid, basically,” she said. “And it totally came across that I’m ungrateful for college—I’m going to a really nice school. And it just kind of made it seem like I don’t care, I just want to brush it off. I’m just gonna be successful at YouTube and not have to worry about school. I’m really disappointed in myself.”

Giannulli did an interview with People in 2017 about how she got into beauty blogging, explaining that watching her mom getting her makeup done inspired her growing interest. “I think ever since I was young, my mom had her makeup professionally done for events so I would always watch makeup artists kind of sculpt her face a little bit,” she told People of how Loughlin helped her get into beauty. Many have commented on the family resemblance between the famous mother and daughter.

“I started getting older, I found YouTube, I started looking at makeup tutorials and the rest is history,” she said. “But my page isn’t just beauty, it’s also lifestyle. I’m still in high school, so I’m just trying to be a relatable teenager.”

Olivia Jade has already worked with several big beauty brands.

Olivia collaborated on an eyeshadow palette with Sephora in January, and posted about it on her Instagram several times.

Olivia’s influencer status also snagged her an invite to fashion week as one of TRESemmé’s partners, and she attended some shows on the east coast. She posted a lot about it, and made a vlog with her friends and boyfriend while in New York City.
