Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth started the next chapter of their 10-year relationship this past week with their December 23 wedding. But that is probably the only big life milestone happening in the foreseeable future. People released a new report this evening that answers the question of when the couple will start a family: Not for a while, so don’t even start the pregnancy rumors. “They both love kids, but they’re not in a rush to start a family,” a source close to Cyrus told the outlet.

Cyrus and Hemsworth’s decision to get married was a very recent one. The couple got a marriage license just five days before they wed in her Franklin, Tennessee home. According to Us Weekly, Hemsworth’s saving all of Cyrus’s animals during the Malibu fire was really the deciding factor that this was the right time to tie the knot. “Liam caring for animals and helping others during the Malibu fire sealed the deal,” a source told Us Weekly. “Their love exploded after that.”

Cyrus’s wedding to Hemsworth comes months after TMZ reported in August that Cyrus was planning to just stay engaged to Hemsworth. “Their engagement back in October 2016 was a symbol of commitment, but it was enough of a symbol for them,” one source said then. “Miley has actually said she doesn’t want to get married, despite the engagement. She doesn’t think it makes a relationship better.”

People countered TMZ’s report in its report on her wedding this week. A source told People that Cyrus long envisioned wedding her self-proclaimed survival partner. “In the past, any time Miley would talk about getting married to Liam, she would always have a huge smile,” the source said. “She has been wanting to get married to Liam for years.”
