e.l.f Glow Primer Stick | British Beauty Blogger

I saw the problems before I even tried this product – shea butter and stick. A lot of people don’t like shea butter for faces as its through to be pore clogging and the same a lot of people don’t like sticks because of cross-contamination. However, I really, really liked this £8 priming stick. I don’t have any break-outs so I’m not swiping over spots (not a good idea) and it’s not going to be a daily use product for me so I don’t have any reservations about the shea butter.

It’s got a very light amount of gold in it so you get the most minimal, barely there lighting which of course gets covered by your foundation so that’s almost irrelevant. What I liked about this was that it gave a softening, non-oily moisture protective shield over my face and kept my foundation in place with no pilling or rolling of product. Primers rely so heavily on silicones which are notorious for creating merry hell with whatever you put on afterwards, but my Clarins foundation went over beautifully and stayed put. Actually, Glow Primer does contain silicones – Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane which gives skin a very smooth feel, but it didn’t interact with other product.

It’s super-easy to use, felt good on my skin, did the actual priming job and so I’m happy. I rarely use a primer so I’m glad to find one that works without breaking the bank. You can find it HERE.
