The Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo is one to keep in mind if you aren’t all lipsticked out – what an easy wear! It’s priced at £29 which I thought was a lot (well, it IS a lot) but actually, in the wear it’s proving to be quite special. The shade I have here is Dreamer and it’s a beautiful, suit-all pinky-peach colour that I’m immediately comfortable in. It’s very flattering. The composition is dual purpose – it’s part lipstick and part balm with shea butter, jojoba, mimosa and sunflower seed oils and I can very much feel the balminess of it. The finish is not matte exactly, but not gloss either – a soft satin, I think I’d say, that lasts well without need for constant top ups.
Hourglass Lip Stylo
I’ve got horrible lighting – we’re more Scandi Noir grey here today rather than crisp and sunny British winter day – but honestly, what a gorgeous shade: I can’t think of any tone that can’t wear this well – and it’s also age friendly because the softness of it smooths the lip skin and crucially (for me with the most crinkly lips in the world) doesn’t exacerbate creases. It’s falling into a skincare/make-up hybrid for me and a very nice find indeed. Interestingly, the only shade that’s sold out on the John Lewis site is this one so I’m directing you to Cult instead HERE.
