Keeping Kylie Jenner’s Pregnancy Secret Caused ‘Anxiety’ for Kardashians

Last night on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kylie Jenner’s baby Stormi Webster made her reality show debut—nine years earlier than her mother, who has spoken out about how difficult she found living in the public eye so young. A months-old Stormi appeared in Kylie’s arms at a family dinner, where Kylie revealed that Kim kissed Stormi (on the lips) before she’d even had the chance:

Kylie also revealed that she actually loved pregnancy. “I miss it,” she said. “I had the easiest pregnancy ever. You never feel alone—I was really sad to not be pregnant anymore.”

But most interestingly, the family spoke candidly about what it was like keeping Kylie’s pregnancy private for its entire duration. While outlets reported rumors that Kylie was expecting, the family purposely never confirmed, and always dodged the question when asked directly. (Are you surprised?) Kylie ultimately confirmed her pregnancy and birth on February 4, three days after Stormi’s birth on February 1.

Kim marveled Kylie, her friends, and the family were able to do it: “Can you believe that Kylie got out of the hospital with not one report?” she said, per People. “Now Caitlyn [Jenner] can never say we have big mouths and we leak everything. We kept that a secret!”

Kris explained the experience was particularly anxiety-inducing for her. “That was a lot of anxiety for me,” she said. “People were saying, ‘We’re going to post, we’re going to announce,’ and I’m like, ‘No!’ But she [Kylie] did it perfectly and it was such a positive experience for her.”
