Getting a large group of people together in London is an impossible feat in itself, let alone when one of those people (moi) has just moved back from the other side of the world and has every family member and friend to catch up with, as well as the death of two grandparents and a double-funeral to help arrange. But finally we managed it, and almost three months after I returned home to England, I finally saw my favourite blogging babes.
It was a beautiful hot and sunny day which seemed fitting given we were dining Italian-style (both food and atmosphere, with the restaurant being designed to resemble the Orient Express), and we settled into our beautiful big table with cocktails. I chose the Peach & Elderflower Iced Tea to start with, and then moved on to the Harry’s Bellini with the Angie & Mina.
Everything was delicious, although the mac & cheese was very overcooked which was disappointing. I have a super sweet tooth though and can’t stand finishing a meal with a savoury taste in my mouth, so decided to be the odd one out and have a dessert. I have no shame when it comes to food. I chose the signature Harry’s Toadstool, which was a delicious combination of white chocolate and mascarpone mousse in the shape of a toadstool, with fresh raspberries, iced-vanilla parfait and pistachio biscotti crunch and pistachio sauce.
As always though no matter where we dine, the company far surpassed the food, and being reunited with these ladies made me so happy to be back in London again <3
