Lady Gaga Responds to Baby Rumors By Saying She’s Pregnant With New Music

Lady Gaga did some rumor debunking on Twitter last night and simultaneously made the best “pregnancy” announcement her Little Monsters could ask for. The singer succinctly shut down any Twitter or tabloid talk that she was expecting her first child in a tweet. “Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6,” Gaga wrote. LG6 stands for Lady Gaga 6 or her sixth album, which currently doesn’t have a title. Gaga’s last album, Joanne, came out in 2016.

Gaga is currently single, having just ended her engagement with Christian Carino. Apparently, their relationship didn’t have a bad end; when People reported that her rep confirmed the breakup, the outlet also mentioned that a source told them “it just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story.”

Another source told People that the end had been coming for a while. “Their friends knew they weren’t going to work out in the long run,” the source said. “It always seemed Christian was more into the relationship than Gaga was.”

Gaga talked in her documentary Five Foot Two about how her relationships generally tended to end during her best career moments. “My love life has just imploded,” Gaga said. “I sold 10 million [records] and lost Matt. I sold 30 million and lost Luke. I did a movie and lose Taylor. It’s like a turnover. This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this.” It seems that a similar story played out for her and Carino, who broke up just before Gaga won her very first Oscar for best original song (for A Star Is Born‘s “Shallow”).
