Givenchy Spring 2019 The Power of Colour

[productsample/affiliate] I loved last year’s dual liners from Givenchy so I’m really happy to see them back again for spring. And in colours that are exciting and vibrant.

The idea is that the thinner line goes next to the lash line while the bigger line covers your eyelid. They do work really effectively, too, so they’re a doddle to apply.

To be fair, I probably won’t let the blue and green combo (Dynamic) go on my lids (maybe on holiday … ) but I LOVE a pink lid and a red liner (Passionate). If you’re used to a dark line next your lashes (which I am) there is nothing to stop you still adding a very fine line as close in to the lashes as you possibly can and then applying the red/pink combo. You will still get that dark frame and if you’ve gone in close it won’t interfere with the red line.

This ombre lipstick makes more sense when you know that the two Prisme Blush shades for spring. Power (orange) and Love (pink) are also ombre. I like ombre so much that I almost wouldn’t care what was inside it, but luckily the orange toned red, Fearless, is gorgeous. There is also Le Rouge Perfecto (pH reactive balm) in a red shade called Spirited. The only thing I’m not so keen on is the deep blue nail polish – anything that shade of blue reminds me of biro ink!
