Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer and confidant, who has previously admitted to lying before Congress and was just disbarred in New York, is currently sitting before the House Oversight and Reform Committee in order to testify about his dealings with Trump and his accusations against the president.
Cohen’s opening statement was made public shortly before the hearing, and it was clear that Cohen was going to accuse Trump of being a “racist,” a “cheat”, and a “conman,” as well as provide alleged proof that Trump gave Cohen hush-money intended for an adult-film star.
