Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper took to the stage of the 91st Annual Academy Awards to deliver a stunning performance of the chart-topping hit single “Shallow” from Cooper’s multiple Academy Award-nominated directorial debut, A Star Is Born.
Cooper is nominated for two Oscars for the film: Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay. Gaga is nominated for Best Actress, while “Shallow” has already won the Oscar for Best Original Song. A Star Is Born was also nominated in the Best Picture category.
Fans of A Star is Born that were watching the ceremony were quick to react to Gaga and Cooper’s intimate piano performance, commenting on the magnetism and chemistry that the two have with each other. Considering that Cooper publicly stated that he was extremely nervous for his Oscars performance with Gaga, he pulled off the performance with ease and caused people on Twitter to collectively lose their minds the second he and Gaga started singing.
