Marc Jacobs Velvet Primer

[productsample/affiliate] While I’m not particularly fond of the Marc Jacobs brush shape because it’s fat and I prefer a skinnier brush, this is a really good primer. The blurb promises a ‘false lash look’ and that’s exactly what it delivers.

I try to not read the ‘promises’ before I try the product and that was the case here – it’s easier to not be swayed and have my own opinion if I’m not side-tracked first. When I put mascara over the primer, my first thought was ‘false lash’ so it’s definitely living up to the promise. I was curious that the liquid isn’t white as it usually is with other brands, but a buff colour. It makes no difference, obviously as it ends up coated in black anyway. It’s a creamy formula and if there are fibres in it, I can’t tell, but I like the fact that its boosted with peptides and B5 – every little helps.

Mascaras I regularly use are Benefit Bad Gal Bang, Shiseido Imperial Lash and Dior Pump N Volume, none of which, in my opinion, need a primer. However, if you want to go extra, you won’t be disappointed with the Primer. It’s £22 HERE, Non Affiliate HERE.
