[productsample/affiliate] I’m like a bee to honey when it comes to the colour yellow. It just somehow lifts me and makes me smile, so when a Perfume Shop box arrived unexpectedly containing Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine in this glorious bottle I was delighted! The note inside said “Just Because… you need a little sunshine in February!” Amen to that! I’ve never smelled the fragrance before either so it’s perfect as a post to show you how marketing to bloggers can work very well and be genuinely tuned to the mood of the moment AND a fragrance review.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine
[productsample] Although I’m already very much in favour of this fragrance just for the gazing-at-the-bottle factor (I’m going to put it on my bedroom dressing table and stare) the juice itself is also rather lovely. I suppose you would say that it’s a fruity floral, but it has a light touch to it that means it stays fresh on the skin. It doesn’t descend into a mire of sugar, that’s for sure, so it does really feel spring-like and airy. Notes are marigold (which is an odd choice as I don’t think I actually know what the smell of marigold actually is – does anyone?), bergamot which is citrus, white strawberry and cashmere musk. It runs softly citrus on me predominantly but because I don’t know the scent of marigold I am not sure if that I’m picking up or the white strawberry – but something is wanting me to say yellow plum notes. The construction might be a bit of a mystery but this is a very wearable fragrance with a bottle that brings absolute delight. I love it. You can find it HERE Non Affiliate HERE from £57 (and a free yellow MJ pouch for 50ml and above).
