Barneys New York is taking cannabis to the next level—literally.
Today, the luxury retailer announced that it will be the first department store to introduce a whole section devoted to cannabis lifestyle and wellness. The new department, set to launch in late March, is called The High End. It will reside in a 300-square-foot space on the fifth floor of their Beverly Hills Flagship location (a fitting location, considering that California was the first state to legalize cannabis).
The High End will feature items with calming and relaxation benefits and will carry CBD-infused beauty products from brands including Saint Jane, Foria, Lab to Beauty, Flora and Bast, The Good Patch, Vertly, Body Vibes, Malin + Goetz, Heretic, and Boysmells. Vintage paraphernalia like lighters, trays, and cases will also be sold. Customers have the option of purchasing items sold in the shop at Barneys.com.
“Barneys New York has always been at the forefront of shifts in culture and lifestyle, and cannabis is no exception,” said Daniella Vitale, Chief Executive Officer & President, Barneys New York. “Many of our customers have made cannabis a part of their lifestyle, and The High End caters to their needs with extraordinary products and service they experience in every facet of Barneys New York.”
In addition to the CBD-friendly beauty brands that will be available, Barneys New York will have an exclusive partnership with Scott Campbell, co-founder of upscale cannabis company Beboe. The High End will introduce its customers to Beboe’s pastilles and CBD products, as well as a Barneys exclusive silver vaporizer pen developed to celebrate the collaboration.
“Barneys has never been shy about pushing creative boundaries in retail, and it makes perfect sense that they would be the first to support and elevate cannabis to new levels,” said Campbell of the partnership.
Though The High End has no official launch date yet, Barneys plans on expanding the section to their other retail locations across the United States.
