Here’s something guaranteed to give you chills: The first real look at Zac Efron playing real-life serial killer Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile’s teaser trailer. The film is told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by Lily Collins. She’s in denial he’s a murderer, he’s lying to her and putting on a show for the public with his good looks and charisma, and the entire two-ish minutes of Efron playing a psychopath that he resembles very, very closely is generally disconcerting.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile comes out later this year and is premiering at the Sundance Film Festival now. Efron, who recently went platinum, will likely attend the premiere and talk to press all about what it was like getting into the head of a killer.
