Mango Man Suede Biker Jacket
One of the problems with leather jackets is they can look a bit busy. It’s all those zips and buttons – not exactly the minimalist chic you were going for. This brown, racer-style suede jacket from Mango Man is does away with any unnecessary additions and focuses on a sleek and trim cut for a thoroughly modern silhouette.
Lee Button-Down Shirt
How do you change up the classic, old reliable cotton button-down? Create it from the season’s must-have material, corduroy, and splash a handsome forest green all over it, of course. It’s a lot more casual than the standard version, making it a sure-fire winner for any given Sunday down the pub.
Oliver Spencer Blenheim Crew Jumper
As menswear designer Oliver Spencer toasts another successful fashion week showing off his AW19 collection, we thought it only right to have another peek at the wonders he already has in store for us this season. Among the treasure trove, we found this retro extra-fine wool jumper that would slot very nicely indeed under that bastion of seventies style – the corduroy blazer.
Murdock London Heroes Gift Set
For our money, London barbershop chain Murdock is one of the best places to pick up a trim, full stop. The products it uses in its store are equally impressive and you can pick up the main VIPs (very important products) in this handy set that includes an aromatic quince and oakmoss shampoo, texturising sea salt spray, rough and ready texture paste and a strong but light matte-finish clay.
Reiss Feather Printed Shirt
Placing a stand-out shirt underneath a black blazer is now one of the safest tailoring change-ups a man can make. It does require you to have an arsenal of stand-out shirts first though. Kick proceedings off with this feathery belter which plucks out just the right shade of pink, not too aggressive, nor too shy.
Converse x Vince Staples Sweatshirt
Following on from the massive success of Tyler the Creator’s collab with sneaker hero Converse, the American brand has released its second team-up with fellow hip-hop star Vince Staples. The collection isn’t as flowery as Tyler’s but there’s a cool simplicity to the wares that more closely mimics Staples’s own earnest approach to his music.
Marks & Spencer Chukka Boots
Footwear shopping can be tough on vegans. Mainstay of the British high street Marks & Spencer is here to help though having expanded its vegan-friendly offering into footwear, which includes these faux-leather chukka boots. Just look out for the same vegan logo used on its food packaging when in stores.
Brooks Brothers Fisherman Jumper

H&M Nasa T-Shirt
NASA celebrated its 60th birthday last year. It saw the space programme have its logos splashed across all manner of fashion, including collabs with Vans and Nike. Get in on the NASA lovin’ for a snip with this simple grey tee.
John Lewis Needle Cord Trousers
We can’t get enough of cord at the moment. We’d have it for breakfast with milk if it wasn’t frowned upon by society. We’ll just have to make do with these corduroy trousers from department store John Lewis that come with a fine needle and a regular fit for evergreen smart-casual style.
Novesta x Isadore Star Master Sneakers
You can spot a pair of Novesta sneakers a mile off just from the chunky-as-a-doorstop tread. Adding to the distinctive treads these new shoes from the Slovakian footwear label made in collaboration with cycling brand Isadore have some very odd shoelaces. You pull the circular tab at the top to tighten them, a feature borrowed from hardcore bike shoes. If you’re into weird and wonderful menswear, grab yourself a pair.
Carhartt WIP Peach Beanie
Black beanies are a bit boring these days. What you need is a peach on your bonnet and workwear-meets-streetwear purveyors Carhartt WIP have just the ripe fruit you’re after. As is the way though, that pop of colour looks best on a black canvas so don’t overdo the rest of your ‘fit when out and about in your freshly picked winter hat.
Byredo Suede Hand Lotion
Despite the name, this hand lotion from perfumer and our FashionBeans Grooming Award-winner Byredo, doesn’t smell like dried-out cowhide (which would be unpleasant after a while). What you do get though is fruity notes of pear and bergamot, along with a deeper musk and plum underneath, which sounds very pleasant indeed.
Tommy Hilfiger Straight Jeans
Mid-wash denim is going through a bit of a renaissance at the moment. Its unfussy, unpretentious demeanor means it goes with a lot of the casual styles that are now reigning in menswear. These ones from Tommy Hilfiger are exactly what you should be looking for, with a slim, flattering fit and a cheeky crop so you can show off your fresh kicks.
Cubitts x Tracey Emin Cleaning Cloth
A left-field match-up, high-end opticians Cubitts has teamed up with Turner Prize nominee and wild child of the 90s art scene Tracey Emin, reproducing the artist’s piece, “I thought about you deeply more than you know” on a set of limited edition cleaning cloths for your specs. Maison Margiela 3-pack Cotton T-Shirts
High fashion multi-packs is an ever so slight oxymoron in our books. We’re not complaining mind. Who could turn their nose up at three beautifully crafted hazy pastel tees from one of the swankiest luxury fashion houses around, Maison Margiela. Wear as a base layer under a white button-down for a colourful pop, or by themselves with some swim shorts when the weather is right.
Breitling Navitimer 1 B01 43 Swissair Chronograph
Swiss watchmaker Breitling has been releasing its Navitimer series of aviator watches for 67 years. In that time the watch has built up a firm fanbase that includes a great deal of the airlines, one of which Breitling is honouring with its latest incarnation. This model pays its respects to Swissair and comes embellished with the airline’s red and white colour scheme while the logo is featured on the back of the transparent sapphire case. A watch for true flyboys.
Gap Classic Casual Blazer
Even the most casual of dressers should have a blazer in their wardrobe, even with the full suit look becoming less necessary with every passing day. This one from Gap is very preppy, with its dusty, blue hue and thick twill weave. Wear over a rugby shirt and chinos for a look that’s straight out of the campus prospectus.
Arket Wool Flannel Overshirt
Spun in Japanese premium wool, this overshirt from Arket, the higher end arm of fast fashion overlords H&M, is almost combining three styles at once with the feel of a flannel shirt, the half-zip of a fleecy sweatshirt and the chunky collar of a chore jacket. It’s a proper piece of quality clobber, that will get you noticed around the office on dress down Fridays.
