When Kensington Palace initially announced Meghan Markle’s pregnancy, they kept her due date vague—spring 2019—along with how far along she was in her pregnancy. But today Meghan gave well-wishers in Birkenhead a more exact time frame for when her and Prince Harry’s first child is due. She told one member in the crowd that she’s six months pregnant now and due at the end of April or early May.

She also told them that she and Harry don’t know their baby’s gender. They want it to be a “surprise,” she said. Kate Middleton and Prince William also chose to keep the gender of their three children a surprise during their pregnancies.

Meghan and Harry’s visit to Birkenhead today marks the beginning of a busy week of events for them. The two will be back out again together on Wednesday night to attend the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem in support of Sentebale, at Royal Albert Hall. In September, the couple attended a special performance of Hamilton in September to support Sentebale, so it’s not their first time attending a charity performance for the organization together. Harry is a patron of the charity, which helps children and young people affected by HIV.

And Meghan herself will be out earlier that Wednesday, making her first visit to the Mayhew, an animal rescue charity and one of her four patronages that were announced last week.

Today in Birkenhead, by the way, Meghan is wearing a bright red coat by Sentaler and a Babaton by Aritizia purple dress with red heels. She’s carrying a bag by Gabriela Hearst.
