If you’re blessed with smooth lips, these weightless inks from L’Oreal Paris are absolutely beautiful. They’re so feathery light on the lips and feel ‘breathable’ despite the fact that they’re forming a film. I don’t say I can’t feel the formula at all – I can – but it’s as near to bare as you get.
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Lip Inks
Despite an intense pigment claim, they’re not completely full on in that department. You’ll need to apply a couple of times at least to get full coverage and on my lips, the shade I Savour which is the baby pink, faded out quite quickly although I never mind topping up because I think I’m particularly careless with pigment! The reason that I flag smooth lips as optimum for these is that on my dry lips (horribly exacerbated by two days of lipstick testing) the colour did cling to dry patches a little bit. Not hugely, but still. The ink formula means that there’s a lot of water in them – hence the weightless feel of course – but it will evaporate and if you are prone to dryness, won’t help with that.
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Lip Inks
Goosebumps! Sorry. Shades from bottom to top are: I Savour, I Achieve and I Explore. Rouge Signature is made to a matte formula but it’s not at all an aggressive matte – doesn’t even feel particularly matte-ish. These are a nice buy at £9.99 each if you’re prepared to do a little topping up as you go along – I watched (part of) a YouTube video where the reviewer claimed a 5 hour wear which I would say was impossible.
