If you know a more lovely Chinese New Year limited edition, I’d like to see it. I think, because Givenchy Beauty is so approachable and Givenchy fashion isn’t (to me, anyway), it’s easy to forget the two are intertwined. Just as Ricardo Tisci gave the beauty arm of the brand a whole new look during his tenure, the floral pattern you see is taken from the first show of Givenchy’s more recent artistic director, Claire Weight Keller. I can’t wait to see more.

The lipstick shade is Rouge Fetishe (325), a beautiful orange toned red that as you’d expect skims the lips as though they’re glass.

It’s satiny in feel with a semi-matte texture; a good compromise for those who don’t like a hard matte but equally aren’t keen on a sheen.

The Prisme Libre is in Mouselline Pastel, a nicely mattifying and tone unifying but better for lighter skin shades, I’d suggest. These powders are ultra-fine, never chalky and have a legion of dedicated powder fans who won’t use anything else – ever. The new year editions do tend to sell out rather quickly, so I have two different stockists – Escentual for the lipstick and better still they have 20% off the £31 price tag until Thursday (17th) HERE, and for the powder, £42.50, it’s FeelUnique, HERE.
