Ciate Astrolights Palette

Ciate has got so good at presentation – everything about the Astrolights palette, from the iridescent exterior to the star studded shades inside, is perfect. Easy on the eye and creatively interesting, they’re miles ahead in making their products stand out. I had an idea – a long time ago – for a bar palette in shades of black (i.e. navy black, red black, khaki black etc) with each shade having gold stars embedded so that when you open the palette it looks like a shimmering constellation and this reminds me of my drawings for that. It was called the Black Star Bar (in my head!).

However, the brand’s quality varies. Parts of this palette were fine but others were not as well pigmented as you’d hope. I don’t think it much matters particularly because we are talking fine degrees here, but sometimes their shades can be a bit chalky and at £29 that shouldn’t be the case. If it was £12, fine, but it definitely needs a bit more attention to detail, when there are brands that are half the price putting out consistent quality.

The colours are very pretty – I don’t have any complaints there. From bottom to top: Molten, Paradise, Glisten, Orchid, Bijou, Phlox, Quartz, Aura and Mood.

I have found it on FeelUnique at £24.65 as they’re running 15% off at the moment so it’s HERE.
