Following Cardi B’s statement that she and Offset are in the process of getting a divorce (amidst some upsetting cheating rumors), Offset is out here doing everything and anything he can to win her back.
After posting an emotional video to Instagram yesterday where he (very publicly, I might add) assures Cardi that he “didn’t fuck that girl” and that he wants to get back together, Offset just kicked things up a notch and actually interrupted Cardi B’s set at the Rolling Land Festival in Los Angeles.
The below fan video captures the moment Offset joined Cardi on stage before her next song, rolling out a wall of flowers that spell “Take Me Back Cardi.”
It’s hard to hear exactly what Cardi B is saying, but it’s clear she isn’t playing any of Offset’s games—and that this is the type of grandeur gesture that only works in romantic comedies.
Cardi B went on to share two videos to Instagram in response to Offset’s actions. In the first, she asks fans to “support” and “respect” her:
In the second, which was posted just hours later, Cardi makes a more general statement about the dangers of online bullying:
“So I know I see a lot of people bashing me because they think that [if] I’m defending my baby’s father I’m getting back together with him…I’m not saying that I’m getting back together with him. I just don’t like that bashing online thing,” Cardi says in the video. “Just earlier you just saw how Pete Davidson was talking about…he doesn’t even want to be on this Earth because mad people keep coming at him every single day. I wouldn’t want my baby’s father to have that feeling because of millions of people bashing him and everything. That’s a nasty feeling.” Her comment references a scary chain of messages that Pete Davidson posted this week, that ultimately lead to a seemingly-suicidal message and a “wellness check” from the New York Police Department.
Together or not, it’s good to see Cardi is still safeguarding her ex’s mental health.
