If you’re doing a thing, do it well, and that’s exactly what Huda has done with these very statement lipsticks, the Power Bullet Metallics. I mean, they really are all about the glitter and metals so if you’re not for an ultra-lip, they’re not for you, but they’re taking the prize in the genre.

I love the angular cut of the bullets – not so much the squareness of the casing which isn’t a comfort feel in the hand – and the ombre shading on the exterior. The bullets have a light over-spray for the glitz but to be honest, the shimmer and metallic nature is consistent throughout and I’d say you get as much sparkle as you could possibly expect. I haven’t tested these for length of wear (my poor postman isn’t ready for it although I answer the door in varying states of make up and he is very tolerant and literally never comments… but did raise a brow at yellow eyeliner) but in consistency they’re super creamy. A true glide on the lip.

The shades are: Cake Day, After Party and NYE. They’re Huda’s first foray into bullet lipsticks – good start I say! They’re £18 each HERE. Ciate London have done a very similar product that I reviewed last week – of the two, I’d say Huda takes in on quality but Ciate takes it on colour selection.
