Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson got several permanent tributes to each other during their 5-month relationship. Grande has since covered up some of the tattoos and made a poignant change to one on her foot to honor another ex. Fans noticed Grande turned the tattoo she had in honor of Davidson’s firefighter father (who died during the September 11 attack) into a tribute to her late boyfriend Mac Miller. Grande had Davidson’s dad’s badge number, 8418, on her foot and changed it to the name “Myron.” Myron is Miller’s dog that Grande has been caring for since the spring.

In behind the scenes footage for her video “Thank U, Next,” Grande pointed out the tattoo tweak. “I love my tattoos,” she started while talking to two of her backup dancers. Then she leaned down and pointed out the Myron tattoo on her foot. “Look at my Myron. Guys, look. How cool, right?” The whole thing isn’t visible, but it’s partly clear:
Grande has been open about how Miller’s passing has affected her. In her “Thank U, Next” video, Grande chose not to include a Burn Book page about Miller—the only one of her three exes she omitted. She looked up to the sky when she sang her verse about him instead.

In her first written tribute to him on Instagram, Grande wrote about how Miller, whom she dated for two years until this May, was one of her dearest friends.
“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen, and I always will,” she captioned her video of him. “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”
