Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Call Each Other ‘Husband’ and ‘Wife’ Amid Marriage Rumors

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have kept their relationship largely private, though not as unrelentingly private as Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn. The two are public about their being together and engaged again, but not much else. Secret marriage reports pop up in tabloids every now and then, and occasionally, a source with ties to the two will shoot down the idea to People, Entertainment Tonight, etc. But it seems like it’s that time again.

Entertainment Tonight has the scoop about Cyrus and Hemsworth’s actual relationship status—and how, no, they absolutely are not married yet. They’ll call each other husband and wife as a joke, but they’re really good with how things are right now.

“Miley and Liam are totally in love and are so happy living together,” a source told the outlet. “They are not married but often laugh at the idea that people believe they are secretly wed. They refer to each other as husband and wife all the time and their friends laugh.”

But they still think about getting married, the source added. “They do talk about a wedding and kids all the time, but they are in no rush.”

The update comes after TMZ reported in August that Cyrus and Hemsworth actually don’t have plans to ever get married. They know they’re committed, and multiple sources told the outlet then that “the formality of marriage isn’t important. What they view as important are, they love each other, they’re happy and enjoy each other’s company.”

The engagement in October 2016 was “a symbol of commitment, but it was enough of a symbol for them,” sources said. “Miley has actually said she doesn’t want to get married, despite the engagement. She doesn’t think it makes a relationship better.”
