Meghan Markle Wears Giant Jeweled Earrings to Prince Charles’s 70th Birthday Party With Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are just arriving at the ritzy 70th birthday party that the Queen is throwing for Harry’s dad Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. For the occasion—one that several other European royal families are attending—Meghan is wearing big jeweled dangle earrings with an updo while Harry is in a suit. The couple was photographed leaving Kensington Palace for the party.

Meghan and Harry are also being joined by Kate Middleton and Prince William tonight. Kate was photographed wearing pink for the party and her own statement earrings.

To kick off Charles’s birthday celebration yesterday, Clarence House and Kensington Palace shared new portraits of Meghan and Harry with Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, and Charles’s grandchildren. It’s Meghan’s first informal portrait with the royal family since her and Harry’s wedding.

Meghan was last out during this weekend with Prince Harry. They attended three events for Remembrance Day: the Royal Festival for Remembrance on Saturday, a morning Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, and an evening Remembrance Sunday service at Westminster Abbey. All those events were with the Queen and other senior members of the royal family.

Meghan and Harry will attend the Royal Variety Performance next Monday, the 19th, another occasion where Meghan is likely to be very dressed up.
