Kate Middleton and Prince William have arrived today in Leicester for two engagements: one at the city’s stadium, one at its university, and both to pay respect to the city after a tragic helicopter crash there last month. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are visiting Leicester to honor the five victims of the crash at Leicester City Football Club’s King Power Stadium. For the occasion, Kate chose a grey Catherine Walker coat dress. William was alongside her in a suit.

The two are visiting a tribute site near the stadium, Express reported, and then are meeting the soccer players and their club’s management team.

Kate and William knew one of the victims, Kensington Palace’s Twitter announced last week: “Their Royal Highnesses knew the Club’s Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, and wanted to visit the city to recognize the warmth and compassion that the people of Leicester and fans of Leicester City Football Club have shown in reaction to the accident,” the Palace wrote of why Kate and William planned their visit.

Srivaddhanaprabh donated £1 million ($1,273,926) to the University of Leicester for its medical research and training. His ties there are part of the reason the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will stop there for their second engagement. At the university, the two will greet members of the public.
