Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U, Next’ Video Will Star the Original Aaron Samuels

Ariana Grande’s upcoming music video for “Thank U, Next” will put the pop star in the shoes of the leading female icons in 13 Going on 30, Bring It On, Legally Blonde, and Mean Girls. For the Mean Girls section of the video, Grande already announced that she’ll play queen of the Plastics Regina George, with her Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gilles playing Lindsay Lohan’s Cady Herron, BFF Alexa Luria as Karen, Courtney Chipolone as Gretchen Wieners, and Jonathan Bennett (a.k.a. the O.G. Aaron Samuels) as Aaron Samuels.

Grande posted the above photo of the “Thank U, Next” x Mean Girls cast on Instagram today, and fans went berserk when they noticed Bennett would be reprising his role as the ultimate high school dreamboat in the music video.

A closer shot of Bennett playing Samuels on his Instagram shows that he has literally not aged a day, so it may as well still be October 3rd.

Per his social media, it looks like Mean Girls has remained an important part of Bennett’s life over the years. His new book, The Burn Cookbook parodies the film’s iconic Burn Book and is available for purchase now. Grool!
