If you’re already dreading 2019, never fear! There’s already something redeemable about the coming year: The Queen’s Corgi, a 3D animated movie based on the love between the Queen and her corgis.

Variety reports that the movie will follow Rex, an adorable pup belonging to the British monarch. Throughout the movie, Rex gets lost, falls in love, “discovers his true self,” and journeys to find the Queen again. According to the trailer, Rex is the “biggest rascal of the royal family,” proven by the fact that he pees on one guard(!) and jumps on another’s back. He also seems to have free rein at Buckingham Palace, and the cutest face you’ve ever seen. Please watch the teaser trailer above to get a sneak peek and see what I mean.
It’s currently unclear whether the film will make its way to the U.S. (it’s currently being sold to countries around the world) or when it will be released, but it is clear that if you need a reason to smile today, here it is! You’re welcome!
