Heroes don’t have to wear capes, but they do need to stay hydrated. That’s what I learned today after viewing this spectacular photo of a protestor (activist? citizen? woke passerby?) who seemingly posed for a picture outside of Sen. Lindsey Graham’s office while also flipping the bird and carrying a water bottle.

Sen. Lindsey Graham has been extremely vocal over the past week as tensions build surrounding the confirmation vote for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. During the hearing, where Kavanaugh was questioned about sexual assault allegations against him, Graham got himself entered into the Oxford English Dictionary under the word “tirade” when he did this:
He told Kavanaugh, “[Dr. Ford] is as much of a victim as you are. God, I hate to say it because these have been my friends, but let me tell you when it comes to this… You’re looking for a fair process? You came to the wrong town at the wrong time, my friend.”
It’s no question that Graham will vote to confirm Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh, as a reminder, has been publicly accused of sexual assault and harassment by multiple women and has been accused of lying under oath by people who knew him in college.
In this time of great distress, we need our heroes and a bit of levity. So thank you, Water Bottle Woman. We owe you one.
