Just like every other area of fashion, trends are constantly evolving in the wedding world. But which wedding trends are women ditching and which can we expect to explode in the coming year? To find out, I spoke with Lily Kaiser, owner of vintage bridal boutique Happy Isles in Los Angeles—a favorite destination of fashion insiders. An expert in wedding fashion, I was interested in her observations about which bridal trends are on the way out in 2018. “I think we’ll be seeing much less of bell sleeves, illusion necklines, and Solange-esque capes,” Kaiser explains.
As bridal trends mirror what is happening on the red carpet and the runways, it’s no surprise that these pieces are on the decline.
