M&S Lifeology Bath & Body Collection

M&S Lifeology Bath & Body Collection

I think M&S have really tapped into the psychology of self-care with their new collection of Lifeology bath and body. There are three fragrance ranges – Orange Flower & Vanilla, Waterlily & Pink Pepper and Lemongrass & Thyme. As you can see, I have the Orange Flower & Vanilla. There’s absolutely a gap in the market for affordable bath and body that’s just a little bit more special than what you can find to chuck in your Tesco basket so Lifeology ticks that box very nicely indeed.

Each product has a positivity message on it – a little bit fun and witty and a little bit reminding you that it’s good to look after yourself. Which indeed it is. Most of the products land in at around the £4 mark, rising to £8 for a body butter and if you like the fragrances, they do hang around a while rather than disappearing as soon as you’ve applied. I’m wearing the body lotion at the moment, put on much earlier this morning and I’m still getting some gentle flowery vanilla from it. The hand wash didn’t smell nearly as strongly as the body lotion – I couldn’t particularly smell it while I was washing my hands and nor once I’d dried them. So, fragrance distribution across the products is hit and miss. The bath foam fragrance is light but tangible at least and the hand cream is generously fragranced. I haven’t got to the other bits yet. At these prices, which let’s face it, are comparable with Primark, you won’t be getting much in the way of actives or luxury ingredients, but they’re really very decent basics, packaged well, that anyone can treat themselves to which is so important.

M&S have given a basics range the mid-price treatment meaning that feeling treated or feeling pampered isn’t out of reach of most – I like it for that reason a lot. You can find all of it HERE.
