Meghan Markle and Prince Harry told the world today that they’re expecting their first child but reportedly told the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton, the news on Friday at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. And with the official Kensington Palace announcement came the official, statement reactions of the Queen and Kate.

The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, and Kate are all “delighted” for the couple, the Palace said, via People.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland also issued a statement via Kensington Palace, which said, “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
Meghan and Harry are currently in Sydney for their 16-day royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. They’ll start their day one itinerary there Tuesday (so late today, because of the timezone difference.)
