Lancome Nourishing Lip Balm

I actually had a request to review this product which I’m so grateful for because otherwise I wouldn’t have thought to try it out. I have lip balms I already love (Sisley, Lanolips, Pure Papaya to name a few) so I don’t call many in for review. Turns out that this is something of a hidden treasure.

Lancome Nourishing Lip Balm

I’ll say ahead that it’s pricey at £38 HERE and even Lancome list it as one of their ‘luxury’ products. Well, it’s luxurious indeed. It comes out of the tube as a white cream rather than clear so takes a little working into the lip skin, but I’m guessing that’s because it’s part skin care and part balm rather than just a protective layer. It’s a combination of acacia honey, pro-Xylane (prevents moisture loss), rosehip seed oil and Vitamin E (it’s not suitable for vegans as beeswax is a listed ingredient) to make a rich feeling salve. What’s most noticeable is that it doesn’t need reapplying often. Once it’s on, it’s on. In terms of skin feel, it’s creamy before balmy with a high comfort level. Love it.
