Every American Horror Story Apocalypse Cast Member So Far

1

Sarah Paulson (Cordelia Goode, Billie Dean Howard, and Wilhelmina Venable)

Paulson will quite literally be a triple threat this season. In addition to reviving Murder House’s medium Billie Dean Howard and Coven’s Supreme Cordelia Goode, she’s portraying a new character named Wilhelmina Venable.

Wilhelmina is the strict leader of Outpost 3—an underground bunker for wealthy survivors of the nuclear blast.

2

Jessica Lange (Constance Langdon)

Lange took home two Emmys for her work on American Horror Story but hasn’t worked on the show since AHS: Freak Show (season 4). The rumor is that she will appear in one episode of Apocalypse as her character from Murder House. Constance ended season 1 caring for her grandson, who also happens to be the demonic offspring of a human (Vivien Harmon) and a ghost (Tate Langdon).

3

Connie Britton (Vivien Harmon)

Britton has appeared on Ryan Murphy’s other shows over the years, but only appeared in the first season of AHS. Her Murder House character, Vivien Harmon, died while giving birth to twins (one stillborn and the other demonic). She is doomed to spend eternity as a ghost in the murder house with her husband Ben, their daughter Violet, and the rest of the spirits that haunt the property.

4

Evan Peters (Tate Langdon and Mr. Gallant)

Peters has given us some of the most memorable characters in the AHS series, starting with Murder House’s Tate Langdon. It seems only natural that the person who fathered the (possible) antichrist should have a role in the apocalypse. We last saw Tate vowing to spend however long it takes to get his love Violet (Taissa Farmiga) to forgive him for all of his wrongdoings (including raping her mother).

Peters also plays a new character named Mr. Gallant. He was a hair stylist before the blast.

5

Dylan McDermott (Dr. Ben Harmon)

Ben was the last member of the Harmon family to die in the season 1 murder house. We have no clue how the character will factor into Apocalypse, but it’s fair to assume he will appear alongside Connie Britton and Taissa Farmiga, who played his wife and daughter.

6

Taissa Farmiga (Zoe Benson and Violet Harmon)

Farmiga will be pulling double duty in Apocalypse by bringing back Violet from season 1 and witch-in-training Zoe from season 3. Violet’s half-brother is the demonic possible antichrist Michael Langdon, who was last seen smiling after murdering his babysitter in the season finale of Murder House.

7

Emma Roberts (Madison Montgomery)

It isn’t entirely clear how the witches from Coven will factor into the Apocalypse season, but we do know that Roberts will be back as bitchy Supreme Madison Montgomery. The strange part is that, like several other Coven characters, Madison didn’t live through the end of the season. But it’s American Horror Story—dead doesn’t mean anything.

Gabourey Sidibe (Queenie)

Sidibe’s Queenie seemed indestructible during the Coven season, but fans who’ve been loyal viewers year after year found that wasn’t the case when she checked into the Hotel Cortez in the show’s fifth season. Since Queenie never checked out of Hotel, it’s anyone’s guess what she’ll be up to in Apocalypse.

9

Lily Rabe (Misty Day)

Misty was a fan favorite in the Coven season who got arguably the most unfair ending of those characters. We last saw the nature-loving witch living in an endless loop of her worst memory (being forced to dissect a frog) as part of the tests to become the Supreme (Trial of the Seven Wonders). Her body disintegrates into dust, but like a phoenix (or a witch with the power of resurgence) she will apparently rise again.

10

Frances Conroy (Myrtle Snow)

Myrtle was the head of the Witches’ Council who was burned at the stake in AHS: Coven after betraying her fellow council members. Like several of the other Coven characters, the whole “being dead” thing adds another level of mystery to her appearance in season 8.

11

Stevie Nicks (Herself)

The Fleetwood Mac goddess played herself in Coven; she was a witch advisor to the girls during the Trial of the Seven Wonders. Lets hope Ryan Murphy found a way to incorporate a musical number about the end of the world for the legendary singer.

12

Cody Fern (Michael Langdon)

Fern is making his AHS debut (he previously appeared on Murphy’s American Crime Story series) on Apocalypse, playing an older version of the demonic child conceived by Tate Langdon and Vivien Harmon. As mentioned, the character was last seen in the care of his grandmother, Constance, after gleefully murdering his babysitter. Langdon shows up to Outpost 3 offering to take Wilhelmina and the rest of her people to another shelter where they’ll be safe from the outside forces that took down the other outposts.

13

Kathy Bates (Miriam Mead)

Bates has been in several AHS seasons, but introduces us to someone new in Apocalypse. Miriam works alongside Wilhelmina and appears to be the enforcer of the strict rules of the outpost. She’ll do whatever it takes to keep Outpost 3 afloat, even if that calls for a few killings here and there.

Leslie Grossman (Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt)

Grossman is an OG Ryan Murphy show vet after co-starring in his short-lived teen drama Popular in 1999. She appeared in AHS: Cult and returns in Apocalypse as a billionaire socialite who escaped the nuclear blast on a private plane with her clique and is now living at Outpost 3.

Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (Andre)

The Unreal actor plays Andre. He’s living in Outpost 3 and mourning the death of his boyfriend, Stu, who was killed by Miriam Mead after she faked a radioactivity reading.

Billie Lourd (Mallory)

Lourd returns to AHS playing Mallory, assistant to Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt. She is the only one of Coco’s group not to have elite status in Outpost 3.

Adina Porter (Dinah Stevens)

Porter worked on AHS: Murder House, Roanoke, and Cult. She’s back in Apocalypse, playing a famous actress who bought her way into Outpost 3.

Kyle Allen (Timothy Campbell)

Timmy is the one to watch this season. He is chosen to live in Outpost 3 for his perfect genes. Upon arriving there, he receives a warning of something evil on the way in the form of a 666 written on his bathroom mirror. He’s also romantically involved with Emily.

Ash Santos (Emily)

Emily remains a bit of a mystery. It’s unclear why she was brought to Outpost 3. She was serving jail time for protesting on her college campus when she was woken up and taken somewhere to survive the blast.

21

Billy Eichner (Brock)

Brock only briefly appeared as Coco’s boyfriend, whom she left behind when he couldn’t make it to her private plane in time. It’s very possible we haven’t seen the last of him and that he’ll eventually get his revenge.
