Blake Lively, proudly her own stylist, got more than she bargained for when she chose a Givenchy men’s suit with a transparent top for her A Simple Favor premiere. Lively told Jimmy Fallon that she spent the entire evening terrified that she was going to have a nip slip. You can see it in the paparazzi photos of her, she explained.

“What nobody really realizes—see the look of horror on my face? Like, I’m kind of, like look like [I] have a J.Lo face, but I’m also kind of like this because I didn’t realize it was see-through, the shirt,” she started. “So that’s not a look that I was going for because it’s a men’s shirt. I didn’t know they made like see-through…with the [camera] flash, it goes see-through.”
“And I’m in my hotel, and I call and say, ‘Hey, can I have like, the mechanical department,’ and they say ‘What do you need?’ And I say, ‘I need duct tape quick.’ They were like, ‘Is there a pipe broken?’ And I was like, ‘I need to cover…’ They were like, ‘We have packing tape,’ but I’m like, ‘That’s see-through!’”
Ultimately, Lively got to a place where she was comfortable leaving her hotel room to go to the MoMA premiere of her film. But even then, “I was just so worried because I’m wearing this thing and when I open my arms to put my arms around people, it just is like, you know?” she said. It led her to believing a photographer on the red carpet was complimenting her boobs when he really meant her and Ryan Reynolds’s tweets so. Lively’s retelling of the night in all is an amusing lot to take in:
