7 Winter Hair Colors – The Best New Hair Colors for Winter

Let copper red, updated ombré, a honey blonde Beyoncé, and Meghan Markle’s deep chocolate convince you to experiment with your color. Here, Sharon Dorram, Master Colorist at Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger Salon (her roster of clients includes Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, and Priyanka Chopra!) breaks down the newest hair hues to try this winter.

Honey, Honey

Summer highlights are getting deepened for winter with rich honey and caramel lowlights. The end result is overall richer and warmer hair. Dorram suggests moving away from beachy and over processed blonde highlights and moving to the perfect balance of light brown and vibrant blonde. The color isn’t too drastic or brash and looks incredible on an array of skin tones. Plus, who doesn’t want the same hair color as Beyoncé?

Bright Blonde

“Blondes in the winter months can actually go even brighter with a lighter pop at the hairline,” explains Dorram. “It gives such a lift when there is no sun to do it naturally.” Contrary to what’s expected, Dorram recommends making highlights brighter in the winter to give off the sun-kissed illusion.
