To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before‘s Lana Condor is not dating her on-screen Peter Kavinsky, Noah Centineo. Still, she’ll talk about him in a way that may make you wish she is. Condor told Entertainment Tonight that their connection is one of those never-before-in-my-career things.
“I’m so happy that Noah is on this journey with me, and it’s Noah who I have as my partner through all of this because our chemistry is genuine,” Condor said. “Like, it has been since Day 1 and I’ve never felt chemistry like this ever before with any other actor that I’ve worked with. I think we both know that it’s special, and I’m just happy that it’s him that I’m going through all this with. We make a really, really good team. It’s been crazy. People truly want us to get married.”

Condor additionally said she’s not surprised by his breakout. “The moment I met him, I was like, ‘Yup, that boy’s gonna be a star.’ We all knew as we were shooting the movie that he was just going to break literally 15 million hearts.”
Then, in aspirational work wife style, she added: “I’m honored to be on this journey with him and watch as he’s growing and blowing up. He deserves all the recognition that he’s getting and I think he’s handling it really, really well.”
Condor has made it clear she has a different boyfriend off-screen, actor Anthony De La Torre, who still regularly comments on her Instagrams like the supportive, non-threatened guy he is—especially considering Centineo last wrote on his Instagram that Condor “melts my heart.” (De La Toree has, however, wisely disabled comments on his Instagram, because everyone has their limits.)
Yes, Centineo and Condor are promoting a rom com, and selling the world on their cute chemistry on- and off-screen is just smart PR. But De La Torre deserves some credit for enduring the internet rooting for his girlfriend to date someone else…or he at least deserves a part in the sequel; he’s only 25 and would fit right in.
