I gave a sneaky peek of the Dolce & Gabanna Millenial Skin Tinted Moisturiser a while back, but now I have had a bit more time with it – and a few more shades to try – I thought it was worth a re-visit now it has launched. As before, I think you can completely ignore the name if you don’t fall into the millenial category – it’s more inspired by busy life-styles and a return to natural looking skin than directing the target market. Although, it still doesn’t make sense to me to be so specific.

The product itself turns out to be a very decent tinted moisturiser (for any age!). It’s got the right amount of coverage and a perfecting element to give a smoother and more uniform effect without weight and without making skin look coated and dry. I don’t particularly like a matte effect because skin needs life – I love to see a bit of a sheen and flexibility on the complexion that makes it look more enlivened and awake. This delivers exactly that effect as well as a comfort moisture skin feel. I like it a lot.

There are eight shades – I don’t have the deepest one here but on the Harrods site it does look quite dark – and they’re split into olive and pink tones. So the first in the swatch is Cream Light 2, followed by Natural Light-Medium 1, and Fawn Light-Medium 2. I’m wearing the middle one which is fractionally too light for me because my tone is darker in summer, but not glaringly wrong.
If you like the convenience of a tint that gives hydration and coverage in one, it’s really ticking that box very well as well as having SPF30. It’s pricey at £38 HERE, but I use a tint most days (to walk the dog!) and I’ll definitely finish the tube.
