Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby Reunited at the MTV VMAs

Excuse me while I wipe away the single mascara tear I just shed because the cast of The Hills just reunited at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards and I have alllll the feels. Yes, even Justin Bobby, “homeboy” who “wore combat boots to the beach,” was there—literally steps away from his former girlfriend Audrina Patridge.

Last week, E! reported that The Hills cast would be making a special appearance at the MTV VMAs eight years after the series finale aired. And on Monday night, Justin Bobby and Audrina Patridge, along with Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler, and Frankie Delgado reunited for a photo op on the red carpet after teasing on Twitter earlier in the day that “Everything might happen tonight at the #VMAs.” And that “everything” has been revealed: The Hills is finally returning to our TV screens.

During the MTV VMAs, a teaser appeared featuring a stripped-down acoustic version of the original theme song, “Unwritten” by Natasha Benningfeld. The new show will be called The Hills: New Beginnings and will apparently follow the lives aforementioned cast members and their families. “It’s like we’re all growing up, it’s weird,” a familiar voice says.

Of course, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari were no where in sight at the reunion and won’t be involved in the reboot (along with Whitney Port) but Cavallari seemed to be interested in getting the gang back together when she spoke to E! back in June.

“We were actually like this close to doing one,” she revealed to E!, but things didn’t work out because Heidi and Spencer signed a deal with MTV. “It would be like a one-time special. Let’s all just get together. We don’t need to go away for a weekend. We don’t need to do multiple episodes. It’s just like a catch-up.”
