This Swimsuit Trend Weirdly Makes Me Feel Super Rich

Blame it on Mykonos or the comfortable daybeds at Nammos, but I was living my best luxe life while on a recent vacation in Greece. It’s no surprise I packed a plethora of bikinis and swimsuits for the trip, but the one trend that made me feel “super rich” (if you will) was the below leopard-print one-piece from Diane von Furstenberg. I’m a bikini girl through and through, so a one-piece really has to catch my attention to gain wear time at the pool or beach in my life, and this leopard option did just that. I was first drawn to it because of the unique one-shoulder silhouette and spaced-out spot print, but it was the belt detail (a swim trend we saw bubble up last year) that really made this suit worth writing an entire feature on.

While the leopard print of the suit lends a timeless look, the belt adds a retro and glam vibe to the style. In addition to belted swimwear (we’re talking built-in belts to adding a chain belt to your bikini like I’ve done here), accessorizing at the beach/pool/while on vacation is becoming a trend we’re seeing more of this summer. Whether we’re all doing it for the ’gram or simply to be the queen of summer accessorizing, the trend is the epitome of being extra in the best way possible, and I’ll be the first to admit I’m so on board.
