Taylor Swift Joins ‘Cats’ Movie Cast

In a particularly on-brand move for cat aficionado Taylor Swift, the singer has joined the cast of the Cats musical movie, according to Variety. The new film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway musical will also feature Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Ian McKellen. Earlier this summer, reports went around that Anne Hathaway was also in talks to star in the film though ultimately, Universal told That Hashtag Show that both she and Rihanna passed because of scheduling issues.

This is not Swift’s first time doing a movie: she acted in both 2014’s The Giver and 2010’s Valentine’s Day (back when she was with Taylor Lautner both on-screen and off.)

According to Daily Mail, the all-singing, all-dancing movie will shoot in November at Hertfordshire, England’s Leavesden Studios. Swift is on tour through November 21, so it’ll likely be the next project she jumps into.
