Take Benson’s advice and skip a fussy makeup routine for drinks by the pool. Instead, go for high impact picks that easily take you from chaise to night, like her preferred duo of YSL red and Chanel bronze.

Summertime entertaining is all about easy stuff, most likely because hosts want to spend the least amount of time in the kitchen. Stock up in advance with favorites like chips and salsa.
If you are going to get away from the grind, look for a spot with views for days and easy access to water (salt or fresh). Benson’s go-to getaway is Mexico, but relaxation knows no geographical limit.
