Angelina Jolie is a red carpet pro, but in her latest appearance, the Oscar-winning actress swapped a stunning gown for a polished royal-inspired look. In fact, there are immediate parallels between Meghan Markle’s style and what Jolie wore as she arrived at a celebration for the 200th anniversary of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George in London.
Jolie wore a pale gray ruffled dress by Ralph & Russo (who designed the dress Meghan Markle wore in her engagement portraits). Since officially becoming Duchess of Sussex, Markle has favored dresses that highlight the collarbone and shoulders, a move mirrored in Jolie’s elegant bateau neckline. Jolie chose a matching fascinator and gloves, a silver clutch and nude satin pumps to finish off the ensemble. Jolie also wore the pin she was awarded by the Queen when she was named an honorary dame in 2014. While decidedly simple, Jolie’s polished ensemble has us hoping that there will be more appearances from Jolie at future royal events. Read on to see her look now.
