Meghan Markle Wears Prada Dress With Prince Harry for Queen’s Young Leaders Award

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have just arrived at their big event with Queen Elizabeth II this week: the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards reception at Buckingham Palace. Meghan chose to wear a muted pink Prada button-adorned dress, while Harry arrived alongside her in a nice suit. Prince Harry opened the event with a speech, while Meghan sat with the Queen in the audience. His remarks stressed how he and Meghan were looking forward to meeting and working with the young honorees, ages 18 to 29, in the months to come. “I, together with my wife Meghan, look forward to convening young people from around The Commonwealth to hear your ideas, work with you to build platforms for you to collaborate and form partnerships, as we travel around in our work,” he said, per royal reporter Omid Scobie.

The two are attending the event with the Queen, and Meghan is expected to be announced as taking over the patronage for her starting this summer. (Harry is already a patron of the program.) According to Express, the Young Leaders program has been “close to her heart since it started five years ago,” so the Queen giving Meghan the patronage only further strengthens their close bond.
