Kate Middleton Took Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for a Walk in Kensington Gardens

While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were taking in this week’s Thomas Markle will-he-or-won’t-he-go royal wedding drama, Kate Middleton went on a peaceful excursion to Kensington Gardens, a public park, on Tuesday afternoon, according to Vanity Fair. The Duchess of Cambridge was allegedly seen with Princess Charlotte, newborn Prince Louis in a stroller, her family’s nanny Maria Borrallo, and three protection officers in one of her first known public outings since giving birth to Louis on April 23.

Middleton didn’t attract any paparazzi or public attention, perhaps because she was discreetly dressed in a gingham brown sundress, “sensible” pumps, and large black designer shades that hid her eyes, per Vanity Fair. The outlet speculated that Middleton not having her hair blown out also kept her undercover.

Middleton recycled an old dress for the park trip. She is believed to have originally worn it in 2012. It’s quite pretty:

Apparently, Charlotte was having so much fun outside the palace that didn’t want to go home and tried to walk in the other direction when Middleton started leaving the park. “No, come this way, Charlotte,” she reportedly told Charlotte, and Charlotte did.

Both Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte are expected to attend the royal wedding this Saturday. Charlotte was announced this morning as one of Markle’s bridesmaids.
