Blogger of the Month: Allure La Vie

At Latest in Beauty, there’s nothing we like more than scrolling through our favourite blogs and all of the posts, photos and feedback on our Build-Your-Own beauty box selection. It’s so exciting for us when our favourite bloggers and influencers share their must-have Latest in Beauty discoveries, therefore each month we like to chat to one of them right here on the blog. This month we caught up with Antonia from beauty blog, Allure La Vie.

Q

Tell us a bit about your blog and what we’d expect to read?

A

My blog is a mixture of the things I love and feel passionate about. From beauty reviews, recipes to posts about well-being and travel.

Q

Your go to make-up look is…

A

Very natural. Over the years and many make-up mishaps I have found that less is more. I focus on trying to enhance my natural features, instead of trying to cover them. I love an illuminating primer, nude lip and defined eyebrows.

Q

If you could raid one person’s makeup bag, whose would it be and why?

A

Oh it would have to be Stacey over at Expat Makeup Addict, she has incredible taste and any product she has ever recommended to me I have adored.

Q

Favourite discovery from your latest LiB box?

A

Oh now that is a hard one. But the Vita Liberata Self Tanning Moisture Mask is the winner. It leaves a subtle tan all whilst leaving the skin hydrated and soft.

Q

Most overrated product you’ve discovered recently is…

A

This is so tricky, but it has to be the Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara. I wanted to love it as I love the brand, but I just can’t get it to work for me.

Q

Most underrated beauty product?

A

Estée Lauder Doublewear Concealer, the foundation is a well known cult beauty product, but no one seems to big up the Concealer. It is hands down my favourite Concealer of all time.

A

Oh yes, I need to clean my make-up brushes. I am going to do it this weekend. (I promise).

Q

Do you have a funny make-up memory?

A

That night in a club I topped up my eyebrows with my lip liner (bright red) instead of my brow pencil.

Q

What’s the best bit of beauty advice you’ve ever been given?

A

From my Mum: Look after your skin. It’s all good and well having a huge make-up stash, but if your skin is battered and in poor condition, then no amount of make-up is going to hide that.So plenty of water, and spending time getting to know your skin condition, and what products work best for you.
